Dear Fellow SFVOS Members,
It is with great regret that I send this email to inform you of the sudden passing of Dr. Richard L. Sowby. He
was both a wonderful person and a great optometrist who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife
Ruth, his son Anson, his daughter-in-law and grandson.
For those of you who knew Dr. Sowby and would like to attend, his funeral service will be held this Friday,
April 22, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1101 N. Central Avenue, Glendale. The
viewing will be from 10-11AM, the service from 11-12 and the buriel at Forest Lawn cemetary at 1:00.
